About the assessment

Is it genuinely free?

Yes, and there is no catch to disclose. It takes us a couple of hours, and it is the most honest way to show what we would actually do. If the answer is that your current setup is fine, that is what the report will say.

What do you actually look at?

Backups and whether a restore has ever been tested. Microsoft 365 security settings including MFA coverage, legacy authentication and mailbox forwarding rules. Patch state across your machines. What your network exposes to the internet. Email authentication — whether your domain can be spoofed. And your licensing, because over-licensing is common.

Do you need access to our systems?

Read-only access is enough for most of it, and a good deal can be assessed from outside with nothing at all. We agree the scope in writing first and never make changes during an assessment.

How long does it take?

Usually a short call to understand the business, a couple of hours of review, then a written report within a few days. We will walk you through it if you want, or you can just read it.

What happens afterwards?

You get the report. If you want a proposal we will write one; if you do not, the report is still yours and it is written so another provider could act on it.

Will you pressure us?

No. There is no sales sequence attached to this and nobody will chase you weekly. If the assessment is useful you will get in touch.
