About
A local IT partner, built deliberately
Ocala Secure IT is new. That is worth saying plainly, because the alternative is inventing a history you could check in five minutes.
Why we exist
Small businesses get sold the wrong thing
The pattern repeats across Ocala: a business with twenty staff, a consumer router doing a commercial job, backups nobody has ever restored from, and Microsoft 365 running on the settings it shipped with. They are paying somebody. Nobody has told them any of this.
The break-fix model is largely responsible. When a provider is paid by the hour to fix failures, nothing rewards them for preventing failures. The work that matters — patching, testing restores, turning on multi-factor authentication — is unbillable and quietly never happens.
We built this around the opposite arrangement. A flat monthly fee means downtime costs us and reliability pays us, which is the only structure where proactive work reliably gets done.
What we will not do
The commitments that cost us something
No long-term contracts
Month to month. If we stop being worth it, you leave. A three-year term only protects the provider.
You own your documentation
Passwords, licences, network diagrams and admin access are yours. We build environments that can be handed over — including to somebody else.
We will tell you when you do not need us
If the honest answer is that your setup is adequate, or that the fix is something you can do yourself, that is what you will be told.
No invented credentials
We do not display partner logos we have not earned or review counts we do not have. When there are certifications, they will be listed with a way to verify them.
Being new
What that means for you, honestly
There are real trade-offs to being an early client. Here they are, rather than a page of stock photos.
What you give up
- No long list of references to call yet.
- A smaller team than a national provider, so capacity is finite.
- Processes still being refined rather than worn smooth over a decade.
What you get
- The owner answers the phone. Escalation is not a maze.
- You matter disproportionately, and both sides know it.
- No legacy tooling or inherited bad habits to work around.
- Early clients shape how the service actually works.
Start with something concrete
Rather than take any of this on faith, run the free email security check. It reads your real DNS records and tells you in two seconds whether somebody can send email as your business. Most cannot pass it.
